Letter From Principal
Hello Parents & Guardians,
Welcome to St. Stephen Catholic School, home of the Mustangs. Founded in 2001, and accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference, St. Stephen provides a learning environment where every student is encouraged to reach their full potential. We continue Jesus’ mission as we apply Catholic morals, beliefs, and values every day and it is through academic, spiritual, and service experiences that students develop a personal relationship with Jesus. We are a forward-thinking school, rooted in Catholic traditions and values, and devoted to preparing students for high school and the 21st Century.
Our faith is central in everything we do. Students pray daily, celebrate
Mass together, participate in reconciliation and spiritual retreats,
and provide service to the community. We follow the Florida and Diocese
of St. Petersburg standards and enhance our core curriculum with
opportunities for creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. We
teach digital literacy and promote civic responsibility in a nurturing
environment devoted to meeting the needs of all learners. Using a
standards-based approach to learning provides for an authentic
assessment of student progress.
We are very excited to see the
opening of our new church. Students now have the opportunity to attend
Mass in church on Wednesday mornings. Another addition this year is our
MakerSpace - a place for students to be creative, think critically,
experiment, build, and invent while developing a depth of knowledge
beyond the textbook. Please take the time to visit our campus and see
our students’ accomplishments. Call to schedule an appointment to take a
